categories in navigation menu
-
Hi, I’ don’t have the update yet.
What i want in my blog is:
– organize posts into different categories
– don’t have all posts under “HOME”, just show them on click on categories (I’d like to use HOME as a static page)
– have a navigation menu with all categories linked incan i do that through the update? just adding css lines and without need to change HTML? (changing/adding… HTML is not allowed, is it?)
thanks

You don’t need the CSS upgrade to do any of that:
– organize posts into different categories
Here are a couple of Support documents about using categories:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-categories/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/category-management/
Everyone here can use categories on posts.– don’t have all posts under “HOME”, just show them on click on categories (I’d like to use HOME as a static page)
Here is a Support article about making your home page static:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/– have a navigation menu with all categories linked in
Read this to learn how to make header tabs that link to your categories:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/The last does not work in all themes, but it’s fine in Blix

I’ve just discovered that INove theme has an option to display pages or categories in navigation bar. It can be useful too.
