Categories link not working

At my site, ericademane.com, I’ve got posts in several categories. When I click on the “Posted in” link at the end of a post, if the post is uncategorized, the link is “ericademane.com/category/uncategorized,” and it leads to a list of uncategorized posts. If the post is categorized, the link says “wordpress.com/tag/categoryname,” and it leads to a message that “we have no posts here with that tag.”
This sounds to me like a WordPress software problem. The categories worked before. What’s going on? Can anyone figure it out?

You only have one other category that I can see, which is your tagline, “Skinny Guinea.” In the past, staff have flagged that kind of thing as a problem, so you will probably want to contact them during office hours and ask. It seems that the Powers That Be don’t particularly like global categories that are unique to one blog. Maybe if it were a tag instead of a category?

Thanks. I thought the idea of categories was to make up your own, since they don’t give you any list of them to work from that I can find. Anyhow, I’ve e-mailed support to ask if I was censored and if I can get it working by changing “Skinny Guinea” to simply “Skinny.” (No reply yet.) That never would have occurred to me. Again, thank you.

It’s a longshot, but honestly everything else looks just fine to me. In fact, it looks pretty damn yummy, especially that buffet!

Well, in fact I still haven’t heard from support, but the links started working again. So maybe it really was just a software glitch, as I first surmised. Maybe I’ll find out when they get back to me. Thanks for the help—and the compliment.
