Categories link to top blogs

When I make a post the categories that I select for the post appear at the bottom. This is good. But, when people click on them I don’t want them to go to “other blogs of that category”, I only want them to be directed to the archives of posts with that category from my blog. Maybe that is selfish, but that is what I want.

Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?

My mistake – it takes them to “Blogs about: …”, not “top blogs.”

Now that I have done a little more searching I see that it is a feature that cannot be changed. I know that many people get a lot of hits from this feature. But, I still don’t want this feature.

Any new developments to disable it?

I would like to know too.
I don’t like it at all.
And there are sooooo many items on this.
I don’t know where to look for the answer.

Easy: no, you cannot change it at WordPress.com. It doesn’t exist anywhere else, though. However, it does give you a huge boost in search engine standings for technical reasons I won’t go into. If you don’t want it, get an independently-hosted blog from WordPress.org and your choice of hosting company.
