Categories look different in the blog and in the edit window

  Categories look different in the blog
  (http://sciensimple.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=2&action=edit) (CatsSci.png) and in the edit window (CatsEdit.png). For example, Chemistry has a parent in CatsEdit –that’s what I want–, but none in CatsSci. Why?
  PS I have 2 screenshots, but have not found how to send them.
