Categories missing when creating New Pages
-
I want to create a new page as a subcategory.
When I go Add New Page, there is no sign of the categories or how to allocate this new page to the subcategory desired. All the options I get are Publish – Writing Helper – Likes and Shares
This new page looks like a Post Page with less options.
Practically: I have a number of London photographs that I want to publish as a subcategory under the my category PHOTOS. I am in the Pages section of my blog. I click on Add New (page). In the past I could see the relevant categories, amongst which PHOTOS was the option as a category.
I am using The Photographer Theme…
By the way I have read the instructions several times but cannot figure out where i am going wrong, this being not my first time in publishing Pages and Post.
Your assistance will be much appreciated.

Hi Javier,
Have you looked into creating a Custom Menu? This will allow you to move around pages in your menu at will. You can drag the boxes around if you want certain pages to be a submenu.
Let me know if you have any questions with this!

It looks like you didn’t set a location for that menu. When you go to Appearance > Menus in your Dashboard, go to Manage Locations at the top and set the menu your created as your Header Menu.
