Categories no longer working on my WordPress stie

For some reason, the categories widget has stopped working on my sidebar. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hi there, for what site is this? The site at effortlesslygeek.wordpress.com doesn’t have any recent content on it.
Keep in mind that if you need help with a site using the open source WordPress software you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support where they have more experience with the type of issue you are having.
Just to clarify, this support forum assists users of WordPressdotcom hosted sites. Standalone WordPress (org) and WordPressdotcom (where we are ) are different entities with separate documentation and support forums; more information about the differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
