Categories not alphabetical

  A few weeks ago I noticed that my categories we no longer sorted alphabetically when I view them in the sidebar on the Edit Links page. That is, the dozen or so categories that show up when I edit my blogroll are listed in seemingly random order. I suspect it happened around the time that Tags were introduced, but I can’t find any evidence that they are related.

  It’s not a huge deal if it can’t be fixed, but it would be helpful to be able to sort them in some fashion.

  I am a little confused. Are you talking about http://taonzen.wordpress.com/ ? The blogroll on that blog are in alphabetical order on the page. The Admin => Blogroll page is also alphabetical for me be default, but can be changed with the dropdown box to however you want the links sorted. You want them in order, so sort by NAME should get them back the way you want!

  Dashboard->Blogroll->Manage Blogroll

  When I click on any blog link to edit that link, there is a sidebar on the right side, listing the different categories, each with a checkbox.

  At one time, those categories were in alpha order. Now they are seemingly random.

  I tried sorting my categories in the Blogroll Management page (/wp-admin/link-manager.php) , but nothing I’ve tried changes the sort order in the small sidebar.

  Note that the blogroll is displayed in alpha order on the blog itself; I’m talking about just the sidebar where I edit the link properties.
