Categories not appearing under the categories section of the menu.
-
Hi guys.
I created sixteen categories (Post -> Categories) for my blog. Once completed, I attempted to add them to a custom menu.
However, under the Menu section whenever I click categories nothing happens so I am unable to see my categories or add them to my menu.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ll tag this for staff attention. My theory though is that your categories will not show up until there are actually posts in them.

It does not need to be tagged for staff attention. Categories do not show in the widget until at least one post exists in that category.

Hi there,
You mentioned that when you click on Categories (on the custom menu page under Appearance > Menus) nothing happens. Can you please check to make sure you have Javascript enabled and don’t have any script blockers in your browser? Blocking Javascript can cause that kind of problem.

Hi there,
Thanks for the replies and sorry that I didn’t mark this as solved.
Anyway, the issue was the Google Adsense Privacy Policy plugin that I used to create a privacy policy page. While this plugin is enabled it would not allow me to modify my categories. Once disabled, I modified it accordingly then re-enabled it as needed.

Hi there,
I’m glad you were able to resolve the issue. It sounds like this happened on your self-hosted blog, is that right? This support forum is for blogs hosted here at WordPress.com, but you can get further help for self-hosted blogs on the WordPress.org support forums here:
They’ll be able to help more with issues that arise on self-hosted blogs (such as issues caused by plugins). Please let me know if you have any questions about that.
