Categories now showing

  I have added many category but this not showing in site template. How this can be solved.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi. If you are referring to the site linked to your username, it’s normal that you don’t see any categories yet.

  A category will only show up if at least one post is assigned to it. However, you still have only the default “Hello World” post and it’s “uncategorized”.

  But it should show in Category widget. As I have added many as there is also uncategorized category. This is normally shown in .org self hosted domains.

  If you have not yet assigned a category to a published post, it will not show up in the categories widget. You have one post only assigned to the “uncategorized” category and that category shows. The others will show once you assign them to at least one published post.

  Because there’s no point displaying groups of nonexistent posts. When you click on a category in the Categories widget, it links to all the posts filed under that category. If you have added a “Cinema” category but haven’t published any relevant post yet, you want to say to your visitors “come and see that I haven’t written any posts on cinema”? Doesn’t make sense. If you want to inform your visitors of what the blog is going to be about, write an intro instead.
