categories: number that counts the amount of posts

  I somehow turned on the number that appears in parenthesis after the category link on the sidebar, and can’t figure out how to turn it off. Anyone know?

  That is set by the theme (I believe) and you’ll need to change the theme to get rid of it.

  Go to manage categories in your dashboard and check that there is no option there first.

  Actually you can turn it on or off with Widgets. Just use your Sidebar Editor tab to change your settings.

  I haven’t checked this out thoroughly, but it should at least work with themes that allow a post count.
