categories on static pages
-
Hi. I’m totally new to this. Because I want to tell a narrative story — with a beginning, middle and end — I decided to do static pages rather than a blog. However, I can’t seem to get a category list to come up for my pages. Is this possible using static pages or only on true blogs? Please advise. I’m going slightly crazy trying to make it work. Thanks. Qianqianthebeautiful.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry but categories and pages can only be assigned to posts and not to static pages. If you are not clear on the differences between posts and pages please read this enrtry > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
Staff have provided this support documentation entry for those who want to structure their blog like a website. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/
We organize our posts by use of categories. There is only one dynamic page in a blog and we cannot post to more that one page. However, we can create the appearance that we have done that by setting up a custom menu and displaying Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation menu. I apologize for making a typing error above. In the first senence above I meant to type “tags” and not “pages”
