Categories (plane themes-mytruckdrivinlifecom)
-
Added widget categories, and added “new menu” which is the title. When I open the new menu to edit and add categories…..no widgets show up under categories. All it has there is uncategorized with a check box…..why?
Trying to change my blog to have categories instead of pages.
Thank you for your help.

I see lots of empty pages in your site. I’m assuming you created those before you decided to use category pages rather than static pages to display your content.
If that’s not the case, please let me know what you were hoping to do with those so I can make sure you are on the right track.
I also see that you’ve added two categories, Our Travels, and Truckstop Reviews. Those categories have been added correctly and are showing up in your menu. All the other pages in your menu are static pages, not category pages. If you want them to be category pages, you’ll need to add the title of each one as a category on the page below.

Once you have your categories all set up, the way to get content to appear is to start writing posts. Just check the box or boxes next to the category or categories the post belongs in and then after you publish, it will automatically show up on the right page.
Let me know if you have any questions about that, or if you’d like me to break the instructions down into smaller pieces.
