Categories Re-start

  How do I re-start my categories? I imported my blogger to wordpress recently and I noticed that Tags and Categories are two different things. How do I re-start categories, so I only have 5 of them versus 150?

  You can actually convert categories into tags. Look toward the bottom of this and it explains how. You can actually select which cats you want to convert to tags even.
