  1. I have defined a category as parent. Can I change it to non-parent?
  2. Can I delete a category from my list of categories. Not the posts that belong to that category, just the category from the list of categories.

  The widget is only a reflection of how you’ve arranged your categories under Dashboard>Posts>Categories

  1. Meaning you want to assign it as a sub-category to a different Parent? Yes, you will need to edit the Category in the Dashboard>Posts>Categories. Only full edit will give you the option to assign it to a different Category.

  2. Yes. Your posts will be dumped into whatever you’ve set as the Default category; if they were in another category, they’ll stay in that Category.
