Categories widget removed?

  I can’t remember the name of the widget, but it disappeared today. It was a widget that provided a scroll-down of “categories”. (The current “categories” widget is simply an ugly listing that takes up a massive space in the rail. You can’t hide it under a scroll bar.) What happened, and is it coming back? WordPress.com can be so aggravating at times. I mean, it’s not like this was the Vodpod widget where there’s some reliance on another site. This is a simple piece of functionality that nearly every blog uses.
