Categories1 and Categories2 appear the same

Please, I need help.
In Presentation => Widgets: I created 2 Categories (Categories1 and Categories2).
But “Categories 1” and “Categories 2” appear the same.
There is any way to make them difference between Categories1 and Categories2?

and yes they are.
being able to have more than 1 category widget is a somewhat recent change. what to do with more than one is something that we are all still waiting to hear from the staff.
hoping that they’re planning to let us separate our categories into more than one widget ;)

This is not theme dependent. We simply don’t have a clue how to use the multiple categories widgets and until staff lets us know we remain in the dark

It would be very useful to be able to separate sets of categories into two widgets, so I hope the WP.com staff will make that. My guess is that having two identical Categories widgets might be useful for themes with more than one sidebar.

It was presumed that by introducing multiple category widgets a blogger could assign the contents of the individual categories widget here -> Manage -> Categories (examples: Categories 1 – News, Categories 2 – Sports, Categories 3 – Family, Categories 4 – Friends, etc.) However we have as yet to be enlightened.

Right now you can use multiple instances of the widget to display categories differently (list vs dropdown). We will probably expand the functionality in the future, however.
