categoriy name changed but url remains unchanged?

Hi!
I’ve changed the name of my “uncategorized” category but the URL still says “/uncategorized” even though the name change is evident on the categories menu bar. Any ideas what could be done?

as per latest post in the thread linked above:
Renaming the category should also change the slug. If it doesn’t, then its a bug and something that we will fix.
submit a Feedback request and post back here, please, if/when this bug has fixed.

also, I’d like to thank Barry for admitting that was a bug and not something else — his remark turned to be very helpful while proving it’s a real defect, which requires to be getting fixed (rather than it’s a mere enchancement, which could be put off).
and, of course, wank, who put this issue in the such clear and intelligible way, so that it got comprehended by the PTB so promptly (just 4 minutes against more than a week of bumping).
totally not sure, though, why .com (MU) users still ain’t allowed to rename their category slugs arbitrarily (i.e. regardless of current category name).
e.g.: you’ve got a cat named ‘World Wide Web’ and want a short, nice URI for it like ‘www’ (instead of ‘world-wide-web’), i.e. just the same way you can change your Post/Page slug regardless of the title.
users of the standalone version of the WP have that option, it was deliberately removed just in the MU version (what is looking, let’s put it gently, absolutely unreasonable to me).
and, btw, that very removal was the reason, which caused this particular bug indeed.

I’ve been going bananas with this too. And at this point I would like to hear the explanation of why this “removal” has taken place. Although the thread I originally posted these questions is “closed” I still want answer to my questions.

1. cats yours. nither service (.com), nor open source “community” projects (any of automattic’s) ain’t.
2. and 3. no longer actual — from the comments of latest source code changeset: “slug is always* category name in WordPress MU”.
*) option to rename slug got removed since 05/15/06, fixed to work correctly today.
