Category 1

  I am wondering if someone else is having this problem with not being able to delete a category named “1”? I delete it, rename it and it keeps coming back as “1” whenever I leave the webpage and go onto create a new post.

  I can click on “Category 1” at the end of a post and I am taken to a page that is full of other “Category 1” relates posts from others.

  Any suggestions or information would be appreciated and I thank you in advance.

  I guess it’s there just in case you forget to apply it to a category so it’ll always have a category. You could rename it to something like ‘general’ or ‘misc’.

  I mean apply a post to a category that is.

  This seems to have worked:

  after setting default category in ‘settings > writing’, it does not create category called ‘1’ for new posts if not specified.
