  How do I know which is the right category for a blog: for example it cabelong to business, economy, finance etc. etc. I did not realize how important this was. Is there a list of top ten?

  You want to use categories and tags that are appropriate for your posts. If you are writing about the economy, you don’t want to use a category or tag like Paris Hilton, unless it is an interview with her on the economy.
