  I’ve just set up 2 categories (Real Weddings and DIY Projects) and added them into the menu headings so that when I post about Real Weddings and tag Real Life in the category it comes up on the page…

  BUT at the moment it has Category Archives: Real Weddings at the top of the page looking ugly.

  How do I remove it?

  I think that is just a feature of the theme you’ve chosen. It can be removed but you’ll need the custom design upgrade. Go to Appearance > Customize > CSS and paste in the code below and you can preview the change for free:

    display:none;
