Category archive – can I change the name?

  Hi – I’m using the Columnist Theme and I’ve customised the menus to drop down to categories…

  The only thing I don’t like is that when you click on the category ‘link’ the page that is displayed is called (very prominently) ‘Category Archive’ – rather than, for example, the category name itself.

  I suspect there is nothing to be done about that but I just wondered if there is a way to change the ‘title’?

  I don’t yet know what this is but I do have the CSS upgrade, in case that would help.

  Since you have the CSS upgrade, it’s possible to reduce the size of the “Category Archive” title, and increase the size of the category’s name. Here’s the CSS to achieve that:

  body.category .single-title h1 {
      font-size: 18px;
      font-weight: normal;
      padding: 0;
  }
  body.category .single-title h2 {
      font-size: 18px;
      font-weight: bold;
      line-height: 22px;
  }

  You can play around with the font sizes, margins, padding, and font weights to achieve the look you want.
