Category Bulk Editing

  I have jumped right into category bulk editing as I have lots of posts under Uncategorized. Everything seems to be working fine except I noticed that you cannot bulk remove the category but you can add. For example, I can add categories to multiple posts but I cannot remove (in this example Uncategorized) category.

  Is this by design or am I missing something?
