Category Confusion

  I just recently started up a new blog and have imported my old blog (which is unrelated to the main purpose of my blog). On my default page, I have my most recent posts.

  However, I would like to separate it so that posts of a certain category do not appear on my most recent page, and instead found under a menu (that I have created already)

  I have no problem using a menu to link to certain posts, I just don’t want them to be on default page.

  Is there a way I can make a static front page and two other pages with different kinds of posts?
