Category doesn't show in list to delete/change it
-
I wanted to make my blog tidier. Until now I’ve only been using tags, not categories. The tag cloud is getting messy so I set about putting everything into categories…and of course I’ve done something wrong!
I now have a category called ‘Zé’ which I don’t want. ‘Zé’ was one of my tags and I want it to stay that way. The ‘Zé’ under categories doesn’t show up for me to delete it – I can only see it on the list in the sidebar on my actual blog page.
I think it was because I tried to make categories with the same names as some of the tags. The others deleted ok, just not this one. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/category-management/#converting-categories-to-tags Converting catagories to tags will not work for you if you have created both tags and categories using the same word. In that case you will have to delete the tag first. To delete a tag: dashboard sidebar > Posts > Post Tags.

Thank you. I’ll do that. As a temporary ‘fix’ I just removed all posts from that category so that it doesn’t show as an option in the category list on my page. It’g odd to know how to fix it properly though.
Thanks.

It wasn’t too much of a hassle, just annoying. It was one of those moments when you think to yourself ‘why couldn’t I have just left it alone?’
It’s the first real problem I’ve had, but I think it’s ok now. Thanks.
