Category hierarchy into menu hierarchy…possible?
-
I have some categories with parent child hierarchy (specifically “Plants” is the parent and below that lists of plants by genus and species, e.g. acacia alata, euclayptyus foreestana…and so on.
My question: I’d like a menu item that has the parent as the top item and then the children as dropdowns. I can see how to do this item by item (add the Category to the menu and then put each one “under Plants”) but this will be a bit long winded as I have many child categories.
Is there a way to take the established Parent-Child relationship in categories and automatically turn it into a drop down style menu item, please?
Many thanks

There is no automatic way to turn parent-child categories into parent-child menu, unfortunately.
You have to manually drag drop them into menu arrangement from Appearance > Menus screen.

Thank you, the drag and drop helps…I hadn’t noticed I could do that and it will speed things up.
Thanks for your help.
