Category I didn’t add appears and has multiple external post links

    I’ve seen this topic but it was closed so I’m opening this one. I’m just setting up my blog and testing features. I have defaults for both link cataegies and post categories. All of a sudden a link category (54) appeared. It has a lot of links to other places. They are totally inappropriate for my blog.

    54 wasn’t here yesterday. Actions I’ve taken since then:
    1. Created a new post using the more tag (1st time) and it didn’t have a category assigned.
    2. Checked on the extra – hide related links on this blog, which means this blog won’t show up on other blogs or get traffic that way

    I suspect it happened from 2. above – but the check seems to have done the opposite of “or won’t get traffic that way”

    Please help. This is a big deal for me and if it can’t be fixed I’ll have to disable categories completely before the blog goes live.

    Your default category is set to the ’54’ Category by default, for some reason. You need to choose another one, since as long as it’s set that way, even if you delete the category, it’s going to show up again.
