Category IDs for the Category Cloud widget

  I wish to exclude some categories from the category cloud widget but cannot find the category’s ID number. Or is the ID actually the name of the category? I tried using the name but it had no effect. I want to remove “Closed Job Notices.” (the widget is at the bottom of the page.)

  I found the IDs in the URL at the bottom of the footer, but is there an easier location to find the IDs? I’m surprised not to find any IDs listed with the categories under Dashboard > Posts > Categories. Did I miss something?
