Category keeps reappearing after deletion

  I saw a while back that there was a category called “1”, which I hadn’t put in there. I deleted it. Five minutes later its back. No matter what I do, I can’t get rid of it. Also, even though I set another category to be the default, wordpress seems to ignore it and go for, you guessed it, “1”.

  Any ideas? Its not critical, more irritating than anything.

  If you’ve set another default category, this shouldn’t be happening. Are you sure you have selected an existing category as your default in Settings>Writing and clicked Save Changes after that?

  Thank you for replying to my post. I opened up my dashboard today and it is working fine.
