category link in header
-
Hi, in my blog at culvercrest.org, I have a link called ‘FAQ’ at the top. This currently goes to a unique page, on which is a link to culvercrest.org/category/faq. Is there a way to put this link into the header so that the user is instantly redirected to a category list rather than first having to visit a page just to click on another link?

header links only point to pages or the home page, we can’t point to anywhere else. you could, however, put the faq link in a text widget and place it in your sidebar.

Yeah, I had this originally, but my sidebar was getting too crowded and long (tall). It seems you can’t put a link in the text widget’s title line either, so that I could just have ‘FAQ’ in the sidebar. Instead, I had to have FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions. I suppose I’ll just have to make sure that there are a *lot* of frequently asked questions so that I can make subcategories of faq answers! :-)
Regarding the answer, I wonder if a good improvement for the ‘page’s to support optional redirects. Thus you would enter the title, but instead of body text, you’d just have a redirect. An RFE, I guess.

it would be, but as we cannot edit the html of our blogs, it’s not possible from our end. you could send a suggestion to support staff though…
