category list in right-hand bar

    On the right-hand menu I want to list 3-4 main categories. I’ve set up one with 3 sub-categories, and that’s fine. When I set up 2 others (which will not have sub-categories), all the info in the first category/subcategories appears under them too. See eliotandentropy.wordpress.com. Is there a way around this problem? I’m using the Twenty-Ten theme.

    Hi,

    The Categories widget shows a list of all categories which have at least one post published under them. What you’ve done there is added the same categories widget three times and only replaced the title of the widgets. In effect, they are the same widgets placed three times in the sidebar. That’s why they all have the same effect.

    Hope that clears up the confusion.
