Category name change won’t update

    Hi,
    I’m trying to change the name of one of my categories from ‘Eat’ to ‘Food’, but it won’t update. This keeps coming up: [The slug “food” is already in use by another term]Finally sort of figured out what a slug is but still can’t figure out how it relates to my problem, how I created this problem, or what I can do about it.
    Please help, anyone!

    That means you have a tag with the same name (“Food”). It is never a good idea to have categories and tags with the same names. Both are treated the same by search engines, so there is no reason to duplicate.

    Go to posts > post tags, find that tag and delete it. Then you will be able to rename the Eat category.
