Category name problem

Hi all,
few minutes ago I started to experience some problem with the name of a category in my blog (http://marcodifresco.wordpress.com/).The category in question is “Computer” (that is the root category for my blog and all the others derive from it, so I can’t delete and recreate it).
The problem started when I tried to change a Link Category that used to have the same name (now it does not longer exist, because I deleted it in attempting to solve the problem); I changed that Link Category from “Computer” to “Computer sites”.
The problem is that also the plain Category “Computer” changed to “Computer sites”. I tried to change it back to “Computer”, but it keep staying “Computer sites”; I also tried to delete the Link Category “Computer sites” and rename the category, but still no change.
How do I solve it?

Very interesting! I re-created the situation in my test blog and, indeed, if you have a category and a link category with the same name, changing the one affects the other too. But when I deleted the link category, as you say you did, I had no difficulty renaming the category again as I pleased.

This sounds like an issue for staff. Editing the name of a post category should not change the name of a link category. They sound in no way be connected. Contact support: http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ .

I contacted the support and the made me remember that I was also having a tag called “Computer”.
Deleting that too allowed me to rename the category. BTW after that I have been able to create a link category calle “Computer Links” without affecting the category.
