category not in post

I am using categories to group my posts (www.rennerreads.wordpress.com). However, the category names are not appearing at the end of each post, and I can’t seem to figure out why or how to change that.
I’m also using the post by email feature, setting the template to include the appropriate categories. The posts will group correctly, just not show the actual category name.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there. If you click on a post title to see the single-post view you’ll see your categories listed at the bottom of each post. It’s only on the home page where the categories aren’t shown, and this is how your theme is designed. If you look at the theme demo you’ll see it also doesn’t show categories on the home page, only on the single-post view: https://penscratchdemo.wordpress.com/
I’m afraid there’s no way to change this.

Ok that makes sense. Can you recommend a different theme that’s fairly similar in set up that will show the categories on both single view and the home page?

I’m afraid I don’t know the themes well enough to make a recommendation, no. I only really know my own theme, and others I only check as I answer questions in the forums.
