  I want to display a text on my categories page instead of just the category page articles.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  WordPress.com category pages, for example http://amaryroad.com/category/blogs/, are automatically generated dynamic pages. There is nowhere to edit the content of such a page. One alternative would be to create a custom category page by including display posts shortcode in a static page, customizing the shortcode so that it display only posts in a certain category. However, such a page wouldn’t look the same as the auto-generated category page.

  I’d forgotten about the post category description option. If you add a description to a post category at the wp-admin categories page — see the Adding Categories via WP Admin section of the Categories support page — then on some themes the description may display on the corresponding category page.
