Category Slug Editing

  Unlike self-hosted sites WordPress.com surprisingly does not allow editing slugs for categories. Sometimes you need a longer category name but can think of a shorter slug to the same effect, in .com you are out of luck in this case. I suggest introducing this feature as it won’t be of any security concern but would allow users to have variating names and slugs for categories.

  I suggest this too.
  Especially important in languages other than english.
  Example: the german word ‘Bücher’ should have the slug ‘buecher’, not ‘bucher’.

  In the meantime I have discovered that the creation of slugs depends on the language of your user interface.

  Englisch UI: Bücher -> bucher
  German UI: Bücher -> buecher
