Category versus pages

  Hi all
  I am very new with wordpress so please keep this in mind.
  I am creating my website and have various blog posts that I am writing and want to have them appear on different pages. I don’t think that this can be done however and I have been told I have to have categories that I can send them to.

  So basically I am wanting to know for SEO reasons if having only category pages on your website is a bad thing i guess?
  I would prefer to have an about page, a travel hacks page etc where my posts would upload to but I think this is not possible…?

  tracingtrackstravel.com is a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, hosted by BlueHost, not by wordpress.COM

  That site is not on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, and many people get confused about the two.
