Category Widget

My category widget is not visible in the sidebar although I have followed all the steps in placing it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Widgets can be configured to be hidden. To verify their visibility, go to My Sites → Settings → WP Admin → Appearance → Widgets.
From there, expand your category widget panel and make sure you didn’t add a rule for its visibility.
Here is the dedicated help article on how to manage the visibility for reference:

Thanks for the help but the widget is still not visible in the side bar. When I place it in ‘footer 3’ it is visible there but again when I place it in the sidebar it is not visible. I am using Baskerville 2 theme and it supports a widget in the sidebar. What could be the reason?

I took a look at your blog and I can see your categories on
the sidebar next your posts. It’s just below the Search Widget.I see the following categories:
Bibliophile Club (1)
Foodology (3)
Good Health (1)
Pedagogy (1)
Technofreak (1)
Uncategorized (1)Are these the categories you wanted to display?
If you don’t see them, you are probably visiting the cached version of your site. You could try visiting your site with an alternate browser or using an incognito window or private browsing, this will ensure that you are not visiting the cached version of your site.
Let us know how it goes.
