Catgory on grid page & header for category (themes: edin)
-
Hello,
I got two questions:1.) I designed my front page as a grid page with some text and all my pages as children (do you call it that? – I mean I got the pages as a box with title, picture and feature text). Just have a look: https://constanzearnold.wordpress.com Now I would like to add a category (“blog”) in the same way, so that it appears on the front page as another box with title and picture. Is that possible? And if yes, how to do it?
2.) And another question about categories: Is it possible to put a header image to it, same way as in pages?
Thanks a lot!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are a couple of ways you could get blog posts to appear on the front page, but the simplest is if you add a Recent Posts widget to one of the Front Page widget areas (One, Two, or Three.) You could also try the Display WordPress posts widget as an alternative.

Category and other archive pages don’t support a custom header. You could set up a workaround with some custom CSS, which is an option with the Premium or Business plan:
If you decide to go that route, post in the CSS Customization forum when you’re ready and the folks there will be glad to help you with the CSS code to put a header on category pages.
