  Hi,

  Thanks for taking the time to read this and for any help anyone offers.

  I want to do two things.

  i) Make my homepage show only my latest post.

  ii) To change the name “Home” on the menu bar to “Latest Post”.

  Staff have introduced “infinite scroll” to your theme. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/to-infinity?replies=137 To disable it you go to > Appearance > Widgets and install a single empty text widget in any footer area for widgets. Doing that results in an option to __disable infinite scroll of this page > Settings > Reading. Once you have disabled it on that same page you can set the front page to display only one post.

  Some theme havce a Home tab that’s not an actual Page you can edit. What you do is create a custom menu and a include Home page in it. Scroll down to note 2 http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/05/06/the-home-tab/
