CDidn't auto-renew

Our WP didn’t auto renew although a valid credit card was on file. What can I do to fix this?? Our website is down!

Hi,
There are no purchases listed on WordPress.com account you are logged in to (pmrobinson047comcastnet). Are the purchases on another account?
What is the URL of the site that is down?
Once I know more, I’ll have a look at what has happened.

I did more research through your support forums and found the solution. This website represents our organization and we attempted to use the organization’s credit card to pay for the auto renewal. I learned when trying again to make payment manually, that only the individual listed as ‘owner’ may be the holder of the credit card used to make payment. The name of the person in our group who set up the account is not the name that appears on our credit card. We resolved our issue and the account has been renewed. We also learned how to transfer ownership of domain and the account, which we will do.

I’m really pleased to hear you managed to sort this out. You’re right, only the owner of a purchase can manage the payments. If you aren’t the owner, the purchase won’t appear in your account under Manage Purchases.
