Centering the Title?
-
I used a three column layout and wondered if there’s a way to center titles? Sometimes when I use a long one it tends to make the overall look unbalanced.

I tested hallluke’s example, and it worked well in the Pilcrow theme which http://stoutstandards.wordpress.com/ is currently using. I noticed the CSS is not applied there though. Did you decide not to use it?

I did try it and it worked like a charm. I just decided to go back to the un-centered as some of my longer titles looked odd. I saved the info though and may decide again to give a whirl.
Had thought I thanked Halluke but apparently I didn’t. My bad. Thank you Halluke. Appreciate the help….from all of you as well.

Dear Designsimply,
I too am using the Pilcrow theme.
All I want to change, though, is the spacing between the word-titles in my Menu-1, when it appears on the pages, since I have 6 words there, and one, on account of being a few letters too long, is bumped down to the second line by itself, which is indecorous.

What CSS mods do I need to imploy? AS I am rather ignorant, could you suggest the actual CSS code to use?

My question was 2 parts, so you’ve misunderstood me: my question regards reducing the spacing in the menu titles in the upper part of the page.

Sometimes you can reduce the padding between menu items to cut out some of the spacing and prevent the menu from falling to two lines, but I checked https://fromrome.wordpress.com/ and there are way too many menu items there for that to work.
Have you thought about grouping some of the menu items into submenus? That might work better for your case. Go to http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ to learn how custom menus work and how to setup submenus.
