Centre featured images within crop

Love the theme but when I set a post to featured the image on the home page is cropped to the left. Is there any way of changing this to focus on the centre of the image?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hello there,

I have played around with the theme Canard, that you are using, and I cannot see that there is anyway to change the centering of the image used in the featured post area.

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful

  • Hi there,

Here’s the information about your theme Canard.

According to the theme’a about page Featured Images are 1920 wide by 768 high. This is more of a landscape view instead of a square. It looks like the theme is automatically cropping the images to fit.

As @amandasjackson mentioned when adding a featured image there is no way to select a focal point.

To get better results you can edit the image, cropping it to be closer to the required size. The Media Library page has information on editing the images you have already uploaded.
