Cerauno – featured image and font

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

Is it possible to change the alingment of a featured image so that it is placed on the left on the main page, just like here: https://ceraunodemo.wordpress.com/image-alignment-and-styles/

Also, is it possible to reduce the font of the primary menu only?

I’m inquiring after this blog: https://jimplecute1848.com/

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hey there, that site has chat-based support if you’ll log in as the account owner, but we’re also happy to help you here in our forums.

About putting the images into a left column, there are a few ways you could go about it. A few questions you’ll want to ask:
    – Will every post definitely have an image, or only some of them?
    – Will the images always be “wide” like that, instead of tall or square?

If you’ll always have an image, and it can always be square-ish instead of really wide or tall, I’d actually recommend creating a new page and adding a “Blog Posts” block to it. You can specify image alignment in there, and choose how many posts to show. When you preview that you’ll see how it will look. You might end up swapping out the featured images for a few posts — I’d avoid using text as the image since it could get cropped.

If you need a mix of image heights and widths, or if some posts won’t have images, you’ll need to figure out you want those to display in those different cases. I’d actually recommend working directly with a designer for that as it’s a bit more complex. We recommend UpWork.com.

    About your menus:
Are you referring to the one at the top? The text is already fairly small; did you want to decrease the spacing around it or shrink the text size more? Let us know.
