Certificate expired

I was trying to update last night, but it seems my certificate has expired. This is indicated when I click the red lock icon by the url on my browser, anyway.

I now receive this message from any browser/device I try to load my page on:

    ‘Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from distractedbirder.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).’

But I’ve checked bluehost, any my SSL certificates appear valid there – they don’t expire until April. I don’t seem to be able to access my admin for the blog itself, though. I only get the above message and the option to ‘return to safety’. Can any solutions/resources be suggested?

    Thanks!

  • Hi there,

I checked your site and although your site is connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack, it is using the open-source WordPress.org software and you need to seek help at these forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums

These forums are for WordPress.com-hosted sites only. Since we do not have access to self-hosted WordPress.org sites, we are unable to provide any direct assistance to your issue. I would also reach out to Bluehost for help:

    https://www.bluehost.com/contact/

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    Thanks!

Oops. Thanks for your response. I was afraid that might be the case, but the welcome email I received indicated wordpress.com. I shall seek advice from the other platforms!

    Thanks!
