certificate problem through stats-plugin

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I searched the forums but didn’t find any answers, so here’s the problem.
I got a blog that is entirely reachable only by https: and since I installed the stats-Plugin I now get a message about invalid certificates (using Internet Explorer… in Firefox there’s no such message). Now I found out, that there’s one line in code that is causing that message and that one is:

    <script src=”<?php echo $http; ?>://stats.wordpress.com/e-<?php echo gmdate(‘YW’); ?>.js” type=”text/javascript”></script>

which is included in the footer.

When I visit the page https://stats.wordpress.com I get the message that there are “unsichere Inhalte” (I’ve got the german version of the browser… it means something like ‘insecure contents’), on that page. Is there any way to get rid of that? I already thought about copying the script on my own server… Would that work? I see that every week the name of the script changes, but as far as I’ve seen, they are all the same…

    Regards,
    James
