change a domain name
-
I have a blog that points to a domain name i have called ‘hyggehunden.dk’. I would now like this blog to point to a new domain name that I have called ‘Livetmedhunde.dk’.
My domain name provider tells me I need to provide them with an IP address which I am not sure where to find. When I try to follow the guidelines in the support sections here, I don’t seem to have an option to change my domain for a blog that already has a domain that points to it, whereas a new blog I created will give me that option. The only problem with the new blog is that it doesn’t seem to give me the options for plugins???? Otherwise I could just use that I suppose. But my domain people still wants an IP address to point to.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there. You’ve reached support for the free sites hosted at WordPress.com. Your site at http://www.hyggehunden.dk/ is hosted elsewhere using the free WordPress software available here:
Because your site is self-hosted with a different provider, support staff at WordPress.com do not have access to your site’s files or the ability to provide support for your current issue.
You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here:
If you need professional help for your self-hosted WordPress site, please check out:
You may also wish to contact your host’s support team for more assistance.
If you want to map your WordPress.org/self-hosted site with a new domain name, you’ll need to collect your IP information from your web host.
If you want to start a blog here at WordPress.com, I can help. However, you are right: You cannot add plugins to WordPress.com sites.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
