Change A record to point to our own public IP address and then back (if needed)

  We want to change our a record to point to our own public ip address. If we need to back out can we easily switch it back to the wordpress site?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You would change the A record through your domain registrar, which appears to be Network Solutions. The switch should be easy, but it can take up to 72 hours for changes to fully take effect.
