change a website to a blog

  I started a website, but I’d rather convert it to a blog. Is this possible? Thanks for any help!

  Hello there,

  A blog comes as standard with a WordPress.com website.

  Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?

  Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! The reason for my question is that I’d like to be able to use the same site name for a website on WordPress (hopefully in the near future when I can afford the fees more easily), so I didn’t want to just delete the site. Maybe it would be easiest to just let the current PTTA site stay as it is, and start a blog with the same name. As you might be able to tell, I’m a bit confused about the details! Here’s the site address:

  A Blog and a Site are the same thing. It is just how you set things up that changes.

  Your current site at peggytalkstoanimals.wordpress.com looks to be using our demo content at this moment, so it is essentially a blank canvas for you to use to start your site. Is this site for your business, or strictly a personal blog?

  By default most “blog” sites will show blog posts on the hompage, and that is exactly how your site is set up now. You can see for example that there are 3 sample “recent blog posts” on your homepage, but you can easily delete those and start posting your own blog posts from here instead, and they will automatically appear on your homepage: https://wordpress.com/posts/peggytalkstoanimals.wordpress.com
