change ABOUT information

  How do you assign a post to your ABOUT tab in the menu? I’ve revised the information by editing the post but it didn’t update that post in my ABOUT tab. THANKS!!!

  Theese are the differences between pages and posts. Normally one does not create a post. They create a static page ie. an “About” page like you did here > http://californiapixie.com/about/

  Note that the “About you” information you enter here > Users > My Profile will only display as an author profile below your posts (not pages) if you have one of the themes that’s coded to display it. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/ That ‘About you” information will not appear on your About page (described above) unless you post in into your About page.

  Pages >> All Pages

  Now hover on your About page shown on the right. You will see Edit flash up on the screen. Click on it and then you need to edit it.

  Do you know the difference between post and pages? Post is something that is dynamic and keeps changing all the time. It is a blog.

  A Page is static and does not change often.

  There is a full technical difference somewhere on WP site.

  It was a post that automatically made it’s way to my About you info when I changed themes. So now my question is How to I update that info in my About you. Right now under user>my profile> that box is empty.

  I’m not seeing the link between the post that is being used in my About you and the About you box in My Profile. Therefore I don’t know how to change it.

  Ha!!! I got it! Because jtanna01 answered another question I posted. Pages> all pages> ABOUT. I cut and pasted the new info. Viola! THANKS!
