Change address option down?

  I want to change my address and the option has been down for almost two weeks. Does anyone know when that will be up and working again? Thanks!

  I’m sorry but we Volunteers don’t have an answer to this question.

  The good news is you can purchase your own domain name and domain mapping upgrade. Then it does matter what the underlying .wordpress.com sub-domain URL is that you are mapping from to your new domain.

  I have the same problem – and kind of need to change the name urgently as I’m publishing a piece of research soon. I know it says October 29 on the FAQ page, but if anyone from wordpress can grant us a concession, it’ll be much appreciated. Thanks!

  While it’s true that we cannot use a function that has been temporarily disabled while Staff work on it and is not available to us, there is an alternative that you can use immediately. The good news is you can purchase your own domain name and domain mapping upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/ Then it does matter what the underlying .wordpress.com sub-domain URL is that you are mapping from to your new domain.
